Blackmagic Multibridge is the official driver and control utility for Blackmagic Design’s Multibridge hardware—an all-in-one capture, playback, and format-conversion interface for professional video workflows. The software installs the necessary system drivers and provides a configuration panel that lets you update device firmware, select video standards, manage up/down/cross conversion, route audio, and adjust sync and color space settings.
Once installed, your computer recognizes the Multibridge as a high-performance capture and playback device compatible with leading creative applications. Depending on the specific Multibridge model, the software enables SD and HD connectivity across SDI, analog component, and, on supported units, HDMI, along with AES/EBU and analog audio I/O. It is designed for macOS and Windows environments and integrates with Blackmagic’s broader Desktop Video frameworks and SDKs for custom pipeline development.
Note: Multibridge hardware is a legacy product line. This software is intended to support existing installations and maintain compatibility within established post-production and broadcast systems.
Blackmagic Multibridge is developed by Blackmagic Design. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 6.8, 7.1, 7.4, 7.5 and 7.6. The name of the program executable file is Multibridge Utility.exe.
